Ashu Syal, MD, FAAP, is a board-certified pediatrician and the medical director of NAG Clinics, serving the communities of Pasadena and Texas City, Texas.

Dr. Syal received her medical degree from Government Medical College in Amritsar, India. Following this, she completed her residency in pediatrics at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark and finished a hematology-oncology fellowship at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. Dr. Syal went on to complete multiple other fellowships, her last one being in pediatric nephrology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas.

With more than 20 years of experience, Dr. Syal has transformed NAG Clinics into a state-of-the-art medical practice offering comprehensive urgent care, pediatric care, and after hours care. Her goal is to provide your children with an exceptional level of compassion and the highest level of pediatric expertise.

Dr. Syal has held several medical positions, ranging from the chairperson at the Department of Pediatrics at Bayshore Medical Center in Pasadena, Texas, to being an associate professor at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston.
